The Backup commands allow transferring scans to a new device completely including original images and processed pages. Also you can use it to synchronize your scans in different devices.
Note: Be careful. The backup size may be large. Do not use expensive data connections. May be it is not good idea to backup in roaming. Make it before traveling.
Use hardware Menu key on Start screen to select the backup and restore commands.
If there is not hardware Menu key
in your device, you can access the commands by touching the action overflow
.
Store backup - select what service to use, create backup and store it. The program will compress all required files in one ZIP archive and send it to the selected service.
Store on Dropbox - available any time. It supported natively. The app stores backup as MDScan3Backup.zip archive stored in Apps\MDScan Backup folder in your account of Dropbox service.
Store on SD card - if SD card is not available, the program stores the archive in the root of the device storage.
Store and send - in the list you'll see all available services installed in the system.
Restore from backup - download a backup archive and install it. In the most cases the program does not rewrite you data. It may replace your image if sure that it is a fresh version of the same file.
Restore from Dropbox - the app lets you know if it cannot find the backup archive. Check your Dropbox storage for the MDScan3Backup.zip file in Apps\MDScan Backup folder.
Restore from SD card - the app begins restoring immediately if it finds the backup archive. In the opposite case it propose to locate the file in the device storage.
